Covid-19 Update for all Azman Air Passengers

DOMESTIC TRAVEL GUIDELINES IN LINE WITH RESUMPTION OF AIRLINE OPERATIONS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC


With the Aviation Industry set to restart the resumption of domestic flights, please find below, new guidelines put in place by the Presidential Task Force (PTF), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for your perusal.

A.) OPERATING ROUTES:

• The Murtala Muhammed Airport 2, Lagos State. (commencing 8th July,2020)
• Lagos Airport, Domestic Terminal, Lagos State. (commencing 8th July,2020)
• Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. (commencing 8th July,2020)
• Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano State. (commencing 8th July,2020)
• Maiduguri Airport, Borno State. (commencing 11th July,2020)
• Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State. (commencing 11th July,2020)
• Sam Ibakwe Airport, Imo State. (commencing 11th July,2020)

B.) NEW AIRPORT PROTOCOLS IN-LINE WITH NEW GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES

• As a ground rule, passengers should avoid touching surfaces and physical contacts with airport workers as much as possible.
• Passengers are to arrive three hours before departure.
• Online check-in is advised to limit the amount of face-to-face contact with airport personnel.
• No passenger will be allowed access into the airport terminal without a face mask.
• Passengers are required to have their alcohol-based hand sanitizer for use at regular intervals.
• Passengers are required to have tissues or handkerchiefs on hand to sneeze or cough into. The used tissue should be properly disposed of afterwards.
• Pre-boarding temperature checks will be mandatory for all passengers.
• Social distancing will be in place at 1.5 meters between passengers. Airports would have markings on the floor to assist this measure.
• Passengers must handle their hand luggage and proceed to disinfect their luggage at designated points close to where the wash hand baths are.
• Passengers travelling with pets must get necessary clearance from Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Services.
• Passengers are required to practice social distancing at all times as they go through all checks prior to boarding.
• All passengers should avoid seats marked with FAAN stickers within the airport.
• All passengers should note that if you sneeze or cough frequently at the airport or in the aircraft, you would be isolated and handed over to the Port Health Officials. Afterwards, you would be handed over to NCDC for Covid-19 test where necessary.
• If passengers must speak to anyone around, they must ensure to speak to properly tagged Aviation Security (AVSEC) Officers.

C.) IN-FLIGHT PROTOCOLS TO ADDRESS THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS

• Aircraft seating arrangements will be altered to be in line with social distancing measures. Seats marked should be left empty.
• Meals would not be served in the aircraft as all passengers are required to put on their masks throughout the flight. However, a bottle of water will be kept on each passenger’s seat for comfort.
• Face masks must be worn throughout the flight. Multiple masks should be carried as a disposable mask is advised to be changed every four hours.
• Passengers are advised to refrain from physical contact with each other.

• Some airlines may not allow aides to handle the bags of dignitaries.
